Why this site exists
Most birthday wish websites publish the same few hundred messages. Search for a wish for your sister and you will find identical lists on a dozen sites, which means the message you send has probably already been sent to her by someone else.
Every wish here was written for this site. Nothing is scraped from other collections, lifted from social media, or spun from an existing list. When a message does not sound like something a real person would say out loud, it does not get published.
What you will find
Fifty written collections organised by relationship, tone, situation, milestone age and language. Each has ten messages plus practical notes on when each one works and what to avoid.
Eight free tools that personalise a wish, put a name on a cake image, count down to a date, calculate an exact age, or show what your date of birth says about you. All free, no account, no watermark, and nothing you type is sent to a server — the tools run entirely in your browser.
How we write
Three rules govern everything here. Messages should sound like speech rather than greeting-card language. They should be short enough to actually send. And they should leave room for you to add one specific detail, because that detail is what makes any message personal.
We also try to handle the harder categories properly — belated messages, first birthdays, the birthday of someone who has died, wishes for a person whose year has been difficult. Those pages get more care than the cheerful ones, not less.
