All written content on this site — every birthday message, every guidance section, every FAQ — was created for this site and is our copyright. The site name, wordmark and candle logo are ours. See our terms of use for what you may and may not do with it.

Short quotation with attribution is welcome. Republishing our collections wholesale is not.

Third-party trademarks

This site refers to other companies’ products by name, because that is the only accurate way to describe them. A birthday message intended for a WhatsApp status has to say WhatsApp.

All such names are the trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any of them. Their names are used only to identify their products descriptively.

Typefaces

The site downloads no fonts. Text is set in whichever typeface your own device already provides, so no font is distributed by us and no font licence applies to your visit.

The social preview images were generated using typefaces licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1: Liberation Sans (© Red Hat, Inc.) and Lora (© Cyreal). The licence does not require attribution for rendered images. It is given here voluntarily.

Icons and images

The candle mark, favicon and all social preview images were designed and generated for this site. No stock imagery, icon set or third-party artwork is used anywhere.

Code

The HTML, CSS and JavaScript were written for this site. No JavaScript framework, library or third-party component is loaded, which is why the site makes no external requests at all.

Data used by our tools

Our tools use no third-party data. The age calculator, countdown, zodiac finder and birthday-facts tool compute everything from the date you type, in your browser. That is also why the birthday-facts tool shows no chart positions or historical headlines: those come from licensed commercial databases, and we would rather show less than scrape someone else’s work. If we license a source, it will be credited here and on the tool itself.

If you believe anything on this site infringes your rights, email contact@wish-birthday.com with the page address and a description of the issue. We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove or correct the material.
