18th Birthday Wishes
Eighteen is the first birthday that changes something legally, and most cards over-explain that. The better ones treat the person as the adult they've just become: no advice unless they asked, no "the world is your oyster", and one honest line about what you think of them. These ten do that.

Marking the Occasion Properly
Eighteenth birthday cards get kept, so date them. If you're a parent, this is a good card for one specific memory plus one sentence about what you admire — it will be read again in a decade. If you're a friend, keep it funny; nobody wants earnestness from a peer at eighteen.
The one topic to handle carefully is drinking. Making it the theme of the card ages badly and lands wrong if they don't drink. A single line is plenty.

Questions
What's a good 18th birthday gift?
Something that marks the transition: a watch, luggage, a course, or money towards something they're saving for. Practical is fine at eighteen.
Should I post a photo montage?
Only with permission. Baby photos on a public post are a well-known source of eighteenth-birthday resentment.
